Hotel Pension Muenchen, a representative and well-kept old
building with elevator is located in Berlin-Wilmersdorf in the so-called
"Bavarian Quarter", a classical residential area where most streets
are named after Bavarian towns. Since the early 20th century this
area was favoured by the educated upper class as well as artists,
writers, theater people etc. While taking a stroll in the neighbourhood
you will notice many memorial plaques on the houses for famous people
who lived here, e.g. Egon Erwin Kisch (Der Rasende Reporter), Anna
Seghers, Walter Benjamin, Vladimir Nabokow, Billy Wilder, George
Grosz, Marina Zwetajewa, Boris Pasternak and many others.
Hotel
Pension Muenchen is centrally located, but still quiet, with many
little shops and restaurants close by, only 2 subway stops from
Kurfuerstendamm. |
